Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking an eDiscovery Litigation Support Project Manager to support complex litigation matters and oversee all phases of the electronic discovery lifecycle. This individual will partner closely with attorneys, clients, and vendors to manage large-scale discovery projects, implement Technology Assisted Review (TAR) workflows, and leverage advanced Relativity analytics and AI-powered review technologies, including Relativity aiR for Review. The ideal candidate will bring strong law firm experience, expertise in Relativity and AI-assisted review tools, and a proven track record managing complex, multi-party litigation matters involving significant data volumes. This role will serve as a key advisor to litigation teams on eDiscovery strategy, defensible AI workflows, and industry best practices. The position can be based in Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, Denver, CO, or Chicago, IL, with a preference for candidates located in the California offices. Initial training will be conducted onsite, after which the role will transition to a hybrid work arrangement based out of any of the approved office locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the full scope of eDiscovery workflows from preservation and collection through processing, review, and production, including developing and executing project plans, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with applicable legal standards, court rules, and client guidelines
- Partner with litigation teams to design and implement Technology Assisted Review (TAR) and other AI-driven review workflows
- Utilize Relativity aiR for Review to improve document review efficiency by integrating AI-powered review capabilities into existing workflows, assessing the suitability of aiR for Review on a matter-by-matter basis, configuring and monitoring deployment, and reporting on performance and impact
- Advise attorneys on best practices for the defensible use of AI tools, assist with drafting related protocols for court submission, maintain a strong understanding of relevant validation statistics, and oversee quality control and validation of AI-assisted review results
- Act as a primary point of contact for eDiscovery-related communications with case teams, opposing counsel, and clients, including advising during meet-and-confer discussions on ESI matters and ensuring compliance with ESI protocols and protective orders
- Develop and maintain project documentation, prepare status reports and metrics for stakeholders, conduct quality assurance checks on data deliverables, and mentor junior team members on eDiscovery best practices and technology platforms
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree required, with a Juris Doctor (JD), paralegal certificate, or advanced degree in a related field preferred
- Several years of progressively responsible experience in eDiscovery project management, including direct law firm experience, required
- Current Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification strongly preferred, with candidates expected to obtain certification within one year of employment with firm support if not already certified
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing Technology Assisted Review (TAR) workflows is essential
Expected salary for this role is $116,000 - $201,000, depending on location, and commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
