Hull and/or Deck Rigger
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
(Actual pay offered will be based on experience, skill level, and qualifications.)
Position Summary
Sea Fox Boats is seeking an experienced Hull and/or Deck Rigger to join our production team. This position is responsible for installing, routing, securing, and connecting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and rigging components during the construction of newly manufactured boats. The ideal candidate has marine manufacturing experience, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and takes pride in producing a high-quality finished product.
Key Responsibilities

  • Install, route, connect, and secure rigging components in boat hulls and decks according to production specifications.
  • Install components such as wiring, hoses, cables, pumps, fittings, hardware, controls, and other assigned rigging components.
  • Route electrical wiring, plumbing, fuel, bilge, livewell, and other systems according to established production procedures.
  • Install and secure components using appropriate hand tools, power tools, fasteners, fittings, and installation techniques.
  • Measure, position, align, and secure components to ensure proper fit, function, and finished appearance.
  • Drill, cut, fasten, and modify components as necessary to complete installations according to specifications.
  • Connect and secure electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components as assigned.
  • Inspect completed rigging work to ensure proper installation, routing, connection, and functionality.
  • Identify and correct installation issues, defects, or inconsistencies before the boat moves to the next stage of production.
  • Follow production drawings, work instructions, diagrams, and established rigging procedures.
  • Ensure wiring, hoses, cables, and other components are properly supported, protected, and secured.
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety requirements.
  • Communicate material shortages, quality concerns, or production issues to leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with other production team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in marine manufacturing, boat building, boat rigging, or a similar marine production environment is required.
  • Previous experience with hull and/or deck rigging, marine electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical systems, or related boat assembly work is required.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to complete detailed installation work.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, wiring layouts, and production specifications.
  • Ability to accurately measure, drill, cut, route, fit, and install components according to specifications.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, electrical tools, and marine installation equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and installation issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a production team.
  • Ability to prioritize work and maintain production schedules.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to meet production expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined and awkward positions inside and around boat hulls and decks.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a marine manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass materials, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be comfortable working inside, underneath, and around boats during various stages of production.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements required for installation and rigging tasks.
  • Must follow required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
