Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join the team at Margaret Hearne Elementary School in Wilson, NC. The teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students while collaborating with school staff and participating in IEP-related activities.

• Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students with special education needs.
• Manage an approximate caseload of 30 students .
• Develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies and IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families as needed.
• Participate in required staff meetings.
• Attend IEP meetings and related activities. Overtime may be approved for additional IEP meetings when applicable.
• Maintain accurate student documentation and comply with school and district requirements.

• EC (Exceptional Children) Licensure required.
• Previous special education teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Must complete the background check required by Wilson County Schools.

• Daily Schedule: 7:20 AM 3:30 PM
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 40 hours
• Billable Hours: Approximately 37 hours/week, excluding unpaid lunch
• Student Population: Elementary
• Approximate Caseload: 30 students
